ANGUSPURE SOURCE AND TRACE CHANGES

ANGUSPURE SOURCE AND TRACE CHANGES

The board of AngusPure New Zealand have recently made the decision that as of 2020, all cattle going into both the domestic AngusPure program and the AngusPure Special Reserve export program will need to be tagged with an AngusPure Source and Trace tag to be eligible. Until now, these tags were optional for the domestic program, however in 2020 they will be compulsory.

For farmers this essentially means that you MUST tag your calves this year to ensure they are eligible for the programs and associated premiums in 2020.

AngusPure is the official beef brand of Angus New Zealand. We’re securing the future of high premiums for our producers, putting more money in your back pockets.

Your progeny must be sired by a registered or PRAC recorded Angus bull and be genetically at least 75% Angus to use AngusPure Source & Trace tags and qualify for AngusPure carcass premiums.  Only steers and heifers are eligible.

Demand for tagged cattle is increasing throughout the supply chain, so in order to position your progeny for better premiums contact Kim Lowe today to make your tag order.

Contact AngusPure National Territory Manager Kim Lowe to register your interest or make an order.
